A Rally for Rangers follows the Rally for Rangers movement and its work helping under-equipped and often underappreciated park rangers around the world protect some of the most extraordinary places on the planet by empowering them with donated new motorcycles and equipment.
Over 4,000 national parks in nearly 100 countries worldwide protect some of the world’s most remote, vast, rugged, and pristine ecologically and culturally important places on Earth. Ensuring this protection sometimes depends on the dedication, bravery, and sacrifice of just a handful of individual park rangers with only a fraction of the necessary resources needed to safely and effectively do their jobs protecting parks from illegal poachers, miners, campers, and other park spoilers.
A Rally for Rangers is more than a feel-good story, it’s a do-good story. The film follows rally participants as they drive motorbikes – each purchased through participants’ individual fundraising – upwards of 1,000 miles across extremely remote and challenging terrain to personally deliver and donate them to park rangers in Mongolia, Argentina, Chile, Bhutan, and Nepal. In addition, viewers learn about the difficulties and dangers these front-line conservation heroes face in their work protecting some of the world’s most valuable, vulnerable, and sometimes life-sustaining natural and cultural resources for the benefit of us all.
A Rally for Rangers features dramatic and visually stunning footage of some of the world’s last remaining wild places and an international cast of engaging characters as they make powerful human connections across diverse cultural backgrounds. Film festivals around the world have praised the film. Audiences will be inspired to get involved in the global conservation movement after witnessing the incredibly positive impacts a small group of people can have when they rally around a cause much greater than oneself.
